Committers on the podling
Synx engineers hold committer status on the Apache Cloudberry (Incubating) podling and ship changes upstream alongside other contributors. No forked-and-forgotten proprietary branch.
Product · Apache Cloudberry
SynxDB is a commercial distribution of Apache Cloudberry (Incubating) — the open-source MPP engine that descends from the original Greenplum codebase. The foundation is open; the product on top is ours.
Apache Cloudberry (Incubating), created by original Greenplum Database developers, is an advanced, mature open-source MPP database. It evolves from the open-source version of Pivotal Greenplum Database® with a modern PostgreSQL kernel and a layer of enterprise capabilities added on top.
Rather than fork and diverge, Synx runs on Cloudberry and contributes back. We ship the open binaries, track upstream closely, and land improvements in the podling alongside the rest of the community.

Contribution
Synx engineers hold committer status on the Apache Cloudberry (Incubating) podling and ship changes upstream alongside other contributors. No forked-and-forgotten proprietary branch.
We build, test, and package the upstream binaries across a matrix of Linux distros and AWS instance types, and publish the same binaries we run in production.
Apache Cloudberry is currently undergoing incubation at the ASF. Synx supports the mentors and community around graduation — the long-term goal is a healthy top-level Apache project.
